what's about the ECU?
this type of injection management is not so known here in France ( I mean :) ) Fred or other guys will maybe say the opposite :)

What for software you have to work to change parameters in the ECU?

It's a dutch standalone ECU. It has it's own software. I know there are better ECU's out there, but a friend of mine had this one surplus, so I got it cheap and it supports most things that I need. I would only wish two seperate injector bank controls for running stand-off injection.

Anyone has one for sale?

I would also like to ask if anyone tried to fit 172/182 exhaust manifold? I know flanges are different (oval port shape on Clio Sport), but this can be modified.
Also what is your experiance with Orbisoud exhaust manifolds?

My poor AX was attacked by rust and is in a garage for the past 2 years. It's a great little car, but more nervous then Clio, especially in the wet. If you take the rear seats and spare tyre out it's even worse. But as much as it's nervous it also extremly agile and is very good in tight corners. Also rear anti roll bar could be stiffer because in the long fast curves or on the exit from hairpins rear sinks too much and front inner tyre lifts up and looses traction (I plan to fit 24mm 106 GTI ARB to fix this). Engine is bullet proof and really likes to rev. There's nothing much going on below 4-5000 RPM, but that's nothing unusal for 1.3 engine. Interior is very basic, but I like that. Safety... Lets not go there. And fuel consumption could be better from 1.3 engine. But because it's carbureted and I'm not driving it like a granny it's sort of ok. :D If you want to know anything else just ask.

Yesterday I measured my new head's chamber volume. Now I can confidently say my CR will be 11.6:1. 8)

Chambers are not modified in any way. Just the valve throat area, but that does not affect the chamber volume. Slightly lowering the head affects chamber volume and is now 1,5cc smaller (it was just a small skim, nothing radical).

But in combination with Wossner 11.2:1 CR pistons it gives a total od 11.6:1 CR, which is still good for road use, even in places which don't have 100 octane gasoline (I plan to do some roadtrips with it too).

EDIT: Maybe I should explain that I didn't modify the head. It was modified in England in a company that specialises in Renault engine developement. So I just wanted to know how big are the chambers. And they are 46.5cc (Clio Maxi chamber volume was 46cc in case anyone is interested).
